PIGLETS

We are aged between 3 and 10 months generally, dependant upon our stage of development.  

We like to sleep on demand, and feed when we are ready so although we have set meal or snack times, if we are asleep we are fed when we wake up!

Our day depends on how we feel, and lets face it we’re all different! 

We like to explore mainly with our mouths so everything gets cleaned twice a day. 

Our bottles and teats are sterilised and our milks made when we need them.

Our key workers have set nappy change times for us which are usually 4 a day, but of course we like to produce in between sometimes!

We have lots of different toys to play with, and these are changed regularly to make sure we have good variety.  

We explore and enjoy playing with the many toys around us and the interesting objects in our heuristic play and treasure baskets.  

Our key workers sit on the floor and play with us, and they try to do their paper work when we are asleep - although sometimes we get to play with that too if they aren’t looking, much to their disgust!

Our key workers observe us at play and they plan for us individually to encourage different stages of development.

Our room is light and airy and we have cots.  We have our own head squares and flannels and all the washing is done by nursery!

We like to go outside for walks and we have pushchairs and lots of grounds to walk in, with birds, trees and of course river life too.

We try to stand in this room so there are lots of things for us to grab hold of and safe carpeting and soft play to tumble on.

You can come and see us whenever you like but please take your shoes off or put on those green cover things outside the door, as we’re not allowed to wear outdoor shoes in here!  Thanks.
